Southern Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway in particular, is one of the most afforested areas in Britain, providing enormous woodland habitat for populations of both roe and red deer. The Galloway uplands also provide open-hill stalking for red deer in a landscape that is very highland-like without the remote location.

The Galloway red deer are renowned for their quality and size and are amongst the best in Scotland. They provide exceptional sport, be it with rifle or camera.

Like-wise, the roe deer have provided both continental and British stalkers with special memories.
