Case Sport has its very own private trout loch 'Mossroddich' which
is situated on the outskirts of St Johns Town of Dalry and is available for the use of guests, clients and
visitors. Mossroddich is a 6 acre hill loch stocked regularly
with both Brown and Rainbow trout and has stunning views over the
local countryside.
There
are three boats, however, many fishermen enjoy fishing from the
hard bottom shallows but waders are advisable. A daily ticket costs
£15 and a three fish limit applies (Brown trout to be returned), boats are included in the price.
There a various other trout lochs in the area all within 30 minutes
drive to offer a varied choice of venue and some exciting sport.
Mossroddich is strictly fly fishing only with a 4 rod limit at any one time, a three fish per person limit and Sunday fishing is allowed. (Brown trout to be returned).
Mossroddich
is stocked regularly with fish between 1lb and 2lb with the occasional heavier
fish from 5lb to 20lb for good measure!
We welcome
young enthusiasts and are happy to encourage them to fish.
