Description The Rigg Estate nestles in the south west of Scotland in the beautiful county of Dumfries Galloway. It is set in approximately 3000 acre, comprising of two flight ponds, mature woodland and a melee of young plantations. Small stalking, fishing and rough shooting parties can be catered for on the estate at the Rigg House B & B.  Bed & breakfast prices are £35.00 per person, per night. This includes a full Scottish breakfast. All rooms are en-suite and there is a family room which sleeps 4. Packed lunches and evening meals are available upon request.  The river Nith runs through the estate offering great sea trout and salmon fishing from February 25th up to the end of November. Fishing tickets are included in the price of the bed & breakfast and the water you fish is the Upper Nithsdale angling beat 11 miles or so. The shooting includes: - Roe Deer Stalking (novices are most welcome) and will be accompanied. Some rough shooting and duck flights can be arranged depending on season, please contact us for availability. Lamping of foxes can also be arranged. Walking, Canoeing and gold panning are all available nearby. The Armed forces hold their annual canoeing event on the river Nith close to Sanquhar.
